HONORARY MEMBER OF RED MAMLa ELECTED VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE TECHNICAL COOPERATION COMMITTEE

Anays Berrocal, Honorary Member of Red MAMLa and Alternate Representative I of Panama to the IMO, has been elected Vice-Chair of this important Committee for the seventy-third session, preceded by Ambassador His Excellency Dwight Gardiner of Antigua and Barbuda.

The Technical Cooperation Committee (TC) oversees IMO's capacity-building programme and is responsible for the implementation of technical cooperation projects in which IMO acts as an executing or cooperating agency, ensuring that the Organisation supports the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, including SDG 5 on increasing the visibility of women in the maritime industry.
