RED MAMLa OBTAINS PERMANENT OBSERVER STATUS AT REPICA
In the framework of the XLV REPICA - Port Meeting of the Central American Isthmus, held in Managua, Republic of Nicaragua, the MAMLa Network obtained the status of Permanent Observer by unanimous vote of all the Owner Members of the Port Authorities of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic. This candidacy was presented by its President, Elvia Bustavino.
In this regional forum, which brings together various port stakeholders in the Americas, Red MAMLa will represent Latin American women in the maritime, logistics and port sectors, from both the public and private sectors, promoting the competitiveness of the region in technical issues specific to these industries.
REPICA
The objective of the Central American Isthmus Port Meeting is to exchange ideas and experiences through the discussion of port issues. Meeting topics include the environment, advances in port technology, organizational and legislative improvements, compliance with international standards, modernization plans, innovations, among others.
REPICA takes place once a year. The venue rotates at the request of the member countries or the host port authority. REPICA is a permanent meeting whose secretariat is provided by COCATRAM.
