BIDDING FAREWELL TO 2024, EMBRACING 2025

We approach the end of 2024 with a deep sense of gratitude for the achievements and collective efforts that have advanced the inclusion and empowerment of women in the maritime sector.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), whose visionary leadership and continued support have been fundamental pillars in building a safer, more equitable and inclusive sector. We also thank the Member States, and especially the women members of our network, whose dedication, courage and commitment have demonstrated that unity turns challenges into opportunities and strengthens our mission to build a more just future.

It is essential to express our gratitude to our strategic allies and sister organizations, whose invaluable collaboration has enabled us to advance our strategic priorities and projects to promote women's leadership and sustainable development. Together, we have laid a solid foundation for transformative change in our region, supported by the continued commitment of the IMO Gender Programme globally.

We look forward to 2025 with hope, determination and renewed commitment, confident that the opportunities ahead will enable us to sail together towards a horizon of shared achievement, strengthening a more inclusive and equitable maritime sector for future generations.

Today we are sowing the seeds of change that will be the harvest of today's girls who will be tomorrow's ocean leaders.
