Perú
Peru's privileged geographical position and its characteristics provide us with various opportunities for the development of maritime activities across the territory (seas, rivers and lakes); with a coastline of 3080 km in length, Peru's coasts are home to 62 ports in total, of which 45 are maritime, 11 are river and six are lake ports. Of these, the most important are: Callao (center), Paita (north) and Matarani (south).
The activities carried out in the maritime area are under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Captaincy and Coast Guard.
