INTERNATIONAL MARITIME WOMEN'S DAY

Today, May 18, the Latin America Maritime Women Association, Red MAMLa, joins the campaign of our Sister Association PAWIMA to celebrate Maritime Women's Day.

With the slogan “Women in the Maritime Sector: Resilience and Leadership in the midst of a Global Pandemic” we pay tribute to each of the women who work for maritime development from different instances at national, regional and international level, vehemently fulfilling all the precepts issued by the IMO that seek maritime safety, protection of the marine environment and the facilitation of international maritime traffic.

Undoubtedly, the world has had to reinvent itself and we women have made resilience a differential element as our tasks have increased. However, we have developed our skills, increased our creativity and managed to make the distances that separate us smaller and smaller by uniting us through digital media and being able to continue training, recognizing and making ourselves visible as are our objectives at Red MAMLa.

That is why this day is a day to celebrate: “Our Day, Your Day, Maritime Women's Day”.
