MEMBER STATE CHILE: T1 LT CATHERINE GONZÁLEZ ENDS COMMAND AT LSG "SAN ANTONIO"

On Wednesday, January 15th, the change of command of General Service Boat LSG-1613 "San Antonio" took place, where T1° LT Catherine González handed over the command of the unit to T1° LT Lucas Marino, ending a year marked by her leadership and dedication. 

During 2024, T1° LT Catherine González served as Commander of the Unit, leading a team of 10 naval professionals in performing essential tasks such as monitoring and controlling jurisdictional waters, maritime search and rescue, and maritime police supervision.

At LSG San Antonio, a unit under the Maritime Governorate of San Antonio, she worked tirelessly to ensure that her crew remained operational, trained, and ready to respond to any emergency. 

Commenting on her time on board, Catherine said, "...it was an experience that brought together passion, leadership and responsibility," highlighting the strong camaraderie and commitment of her team. In this sense, she pointed out that "...the values of teamwork, discipline and cooperation were fundamental to face the daily challenges and fulfill the responsibilities assigned"

With this example, T1° LT Catherine González continues to inspire future generations of officers, demonstrating that challenges can be overcome with dedication and hard work.
