Reaffirming the commitment of constant support to the technical capacity building of port personnel in the Americas, the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) together with the Network of Women Maritime Authorities of Latin America (MAMLa Network), have organized the Webinar: Key aspects to sustainable port-maritime development (in Spanish).
Barranquilla is known as the Golden Gate of Colombia, since its geographical location and its natural condition as a port-city, allowed the entry of important technological advances such as radio, cinema, television, aviation, railroad and river navigation, among others.

During the month of March, the World Maritime University (WMU) held an online conference on Marine Pollution from Plastic Waste (GloLitter Project), as part of the Governance of Human Activities Affecting the Ocean course. The Conference was attended by various experts in the area, including our Alternate Member Paola Acuña Chacón.
