Today, April 14, is the Day of the Americas, a date that has been celebrated throughout our continent since 1931. This commemoration gives us every year the opportunity to celebrate our roots, our land and sea, our proud Latin American heart.
In order to work for a sustainable maritime, port and logistics sector, the Latin America Women in Maritime Association - Red MAMLa and Empresa Multimodal SAS - EMMSAS, signed a Mutual Cooperation Agreement.
Reaffirming the commitment of constant support to the technical capacity building of port personnel in the Americas, the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) together with the Network of Women Maritime Authorities of Latin America (MAMLa Network), have organized the Webinar: Key aspects to sustainable port-maritime development (in Spanish).
Barranquilla is known as the Golden Gate of Colombia, since its geographical location and its natural condition as a port-city, allowed the entry of important technological advances such as radio, cinema, television, aviation, railroad and river navigation, among others.
