Last week the Latin America Women's Maritime Association - Red MAMLa, held a Virtual Ordinary Session in which the nominations of new members to join the organization were presented.
On Thursday, November 11, the IMO Council decided to accept the proposal to establish an International Day for women in the maritime sector. This proposal will be adopted next December 2021 at the IMO Assembly to commemorate women at sea and will aim to promote the recruitment, retention and visibility of the work they perform in the several areas of the maritime world.
Continuing with the training program for members of the Association, yesterday, October 21, the second virtual workshop was held through the Zoom Platform.
On this occasion, the permanent and alternate representatives of the Association learned about the Global Integrated Maritime Information System (GISIS).
For the second consecutive year, Red MAMLa has been invited to participate in the World Forum of Cities and Logistics Platforms, the sixth version of this event will be held in the city of Aragon, Spain from October 20 to 22.
