The International Maritime Organization (IMO) invites the global maritime community to commemorate International Women in Maritime Day 2025, which since its establishment in 2021, aims to promote the recruitment, retention and sustained employment of women in the sector, as well as strengthen the commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
The Presidency of Red MAMLa was pleased to participate in an interview in the framework of the survey being conducted by the IMO Technical Cooperation Committee, as part of the strategic evaluation of its technical cooperation for its 75th session.
From March 10-13, 2025, in Bali-Indonesia, TNNV-GC Daniela Andrade, Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the Red MAMLa, had the honor of representing her State, as Lead Partner Country (LPC) of the Project, at the 3rd Global Working Group Meeting of the GEF-UNDP-IMO GloFouling Partnerships Project.
Red MAMLa had an outstanding participation in the First Regional Workshop on Decarbonization of Maritime Transport held at the Panama International Maritime University (UMIP). The event, which brought together key experts and authorities from the maritime sector, focused on energy efficiency technology solutions to move towards more sustainable shipping.
